    LAUNCH YOUR IDEAS

Group projects have turned into game-changing products right here on campus.

Organizations like eHUB are here to help get a project off the ground or get the product to market — all while you pursue your degree.

    MAKE A DIFFERENCE

Gain hands-on experience in the non-profit sector when you choose a placement with a local organization.

Community Service-Learning (CSL) allows you to give back to the community while drawing real-life connections to social issues.

You can also add a Certificate in Community Engagement and Service-Learning to your degree when you complete more than one CSL course.

I chose to go with Co Op because I wanted to take the skills that I learned in class and apply it to real world problems by going abroad as part of the University of Alberta's Co Op program, and experiencing firsthand, the transportation systems in Europe, especially high speed rail, myself and a friend decided to form the group, Alberta Loop develop Hyperloop which is a related technology to high speed rail with Alberto Loop again, also a great deal of leadership experience. I took this and leveraged it in my current Co Op, and both of these experiences have helped me launch my career as a new engineer.

I decided to go and study abroad in the University of Alberta's Lviv Ukrainian language program. My study abroad experience contributed to my career plans of wanting to become a translator and interpreter by allowing me to not only get credits while I was there, but also have a really unique opportunity of being in a different culture in a different place and understanding the language from a native speakers perspective. It's something that really enhanced my university experience, and was probably the highlight of my entire time at university. So I would really encourage you to go and do it and it might be a once in a lifetime opportunity for you. I chose Business at the University of Alberta because I've been passionate about entrepreneurship for quite a while. There are so many opportunities at the U of A to get involved. E Hub is an amazing resource that the University of Alberta offers through E Hub through the mentors that I've had, I've realized that my new venture talkways can be so much bigger than I had ever even dreamed of-- And that has translated to my classes when I'm learning about marketing, or I'm learning about human resources. E Hub has really inspired that confidence to take that material from my classes, and put it into action with my business.
